After many years of community input, planning and fundraising, Volcano School of Arts & Sciences is building a much-needed new campus on the 3.35 acre Keakealani site on Haunani Road. The Keakealani Site Plan was designed by Boone Morrison Architects, Inc. and adopted by the Friends of VSAS and the VSAS Governing Board on October 6, 2016.

The campus design reflects a learning village surrounding a center piko courtyard for gathering, outdoor learning, and play. Included in the plan are 16 classrooms including arts and culture classrooms, 2 STEAM labs, indoor and outdoor “breakout” spaces, garden areas, covered walkways, a multi-purpose center for events, a commercial kitchen, and an administrative building.
